About This Journal
The Journal of Old World Trade and Interaction is dedicated to the history of overland and maritime trade routes, covering all periods of their Afro-Eurasian geography. It aims to publish original research and diverse perspectives on trade, cultural connectivity, migration, heritage, and environment within archaeology, history, anthropology and sociology. Key areas of focus include, but are not limited to:
- Material culture
- Genome-wide analysis of historic diversity
- Patterns of movements and continuity
- The distribution and diffusion of control traits
- Interactions between society and the environment
- Social aspects of religion
- Cultural change
- The impacts of globalisation and civil conflicts on local cultures and cultural identities
The journal is the first of its kind to span three continents, facilitating extensive interdisciplinary collaboration and dialogues. It offers Diamond Open Access without author fees.
